Assalamu Alaikum, friends!
I am Mohd Anjum, and welcome back to DeenWebWorks! If you people have read my previous Posts, then you must know how I started my web development and blogging journey. Today I am going to share some practical things with you people. So if you want to build Islamic websites and make them so beautiful that they grab attention and bring clients for you? Then you have come to the right place. I am going to teach you everything step by step. I have a small request that please stay with me till the end. So that I enjoy teaching you and you enjoy learning. Let’s start!
Whether you are a beginner or you people want to help mosques, schools, or Islamic NGOs online, then these five quick tips will start you. I am teaching all this to you from my own experience, and trust me, this strategy works! So now let’s start.
Why Build Islamic Websites?
Before starting the tips, let’s talk a little about why all this is necessary. See, we are Muslims, and we are connected with Deen, Alhamdulillah – and in today’s era, the internet is a great way to spread this connection. A website for a mosque, school, or charity is such a platform through which we can reach people all over the world!
When I started DeenWebWorks, my aim was to make our community shine online. So for this, a good website doesn’t just look beautiful, but it brings clients and users for the developer who want your services. So are you ready to build Islamic websites? Let’s start!
Tip 1 – Start with Free Tools Today
You don’t need any fancy software or a big budget to start. When I started, I began with “Hostinger.” Because their service is the best and their protection is very secure. 24/7 support is available, if any issues come, we can contact them anytime. I will recommend you that you can also start with “Hostinger”!
- Hostinger: Cheap hosting that gives its clients a free website builder to go online quickly.
When I started for the first time in Billawar, I watched free YouTube videos by Saddam Kassim! That’s why you people also start today and begin the journey to build Islamic websites!
Tip 2 – Add Prayer Times for Mosques
A simple trick works for this, especially for mosque websites – when you make a website, add prayer times to it. Why is this necessary?
Think, if someone searches on Google “prayer times near me” and lands on your site. If you show the correct salah timings, then they will come back again and again. I made a site for a small mosque in Jammu and added a prayer times table – within a week, visits doubled! And their website got good reach. And adding prayer times is not a difficult task.
You will find a free plugin “Muslim Prayer Times” on WordPress, use that or copy a timetable from a local mosque. This is an easy way to build Islamic websites that people will like and trust. It’s just this much work. You can use any type of plugin on WordPress to make your website professional.
Tip 3 – Make It Mobile-Friendly
See, this thing is clear that most people use phones, and they browse on phones only? If your site doesn’t look good on mobile, then visitors will leave. That’s why it’s very important that you definitely make the website mobile-friendly.
When I made my website in the beginning, I didn’t keep this in mind. Because my website wasn’t mobile-friendly. Due to which visitors didn’t stay on my site. Then I learned responsive design – because it adjusts to every screen size. When you people use it, use free tools like Bootstrap or test the site on your phone while making it. It will become easy for you while setting this up. See, friends,
Islamic websites need mobile-friendliness a lot. For example, if a busy mom checks a school site or a brother searches for a mosque on the go – obviously, they will see it on the website, right? So make it easy for them, when they visit your site, they will definitely stay, Okay!
Tip 4 – Showcase Islamic Design
Our website’s design should be so beautiful and amazing that every visitor feels like it’s home. Now the question is how? How will you people add an Islamic touch? I’ll explain to you!
- Colors: Green, white, or gold – these colors give peace to the soul and are connected with Deen.
- Fonts: Arabic-style fonts like “Amiri” for headings (free on Google Fonts). They get downloaded.
- Content: Add a Quranic verse or hadees in your content to welcome visitors.
When you visit my website “DeenWebWorks,” you will get hints and ideas. On it, I have used green. And this design is liked by clients! When you build Islamic websites, this personal touch makes them different and attracts the right people.
Tip 5 – Share It Online
Suppose you have finally made an awesome site – now what? Now you have to share your website on multiple platforms so that your new project reaches people and you get visitors. So share a lot! Because obviously, it’s your new project, and until someone sees it, how will clients come?
Post your site’s link on X, with a caption, “New mosque website live – check it out!” Join Islamic Facebook groups or WhatsApp communities and show your work. I shared my first site on WhatsApp, and a local NGO contacted me within 2 days!
Friends, the more you share in the beginning, the faster your audience will grow. Definitely tell friends, family, and local mosques. Because by doing all this, word spreads, and clients come on their own, Inshallah.
My Experience – From Zero to Clients
Friends, I’ll tell you a small story. When I started “DeenWebWorks,” obviously I had zero clients. Then I followed these tips – used free tools, made a mobile-friendly mosque site, added prayer times, and shared it online. Within a month, a small Islamic school asked me to make their site! Believe me, when I got my first order, it was a huge achievement for me. My happiness doubled.
How did all this happen in the end? It wasn’t magic; it was hard work and the right steps. These tips worked for me, and Inshallah, they will work for you too. I’ll tell you this much that building Islamic websites is not just a skill – it’s a way to serve our community and make a name for yourself.
