Why I Started Web Development and Blogging – that’s what I, Mohd Anjum, did. Assalamu Alaikum friends! How are you all? I hope you’re all doing well and in good health. I never thought that one day I’d be writing code or sharing my thoughts with the world. But today, these two things have become a big part of my life. A question must be running through your mind right now: Why did I start web development or blogging?
This is my story – the story of an ordinary person. When I started, I was quite confused, but slowly, the path became clearer. In this blog, I’ll tell you how this journey began, what I liked about it, and how you too can start it. So, I have a request for you – stay with me till the end, Inshallah, you’ll definitely learn something!
How I Started Web Development and Blogging
The first chapter of my life was very simple. I come from a small Town called Billawar, which is in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. Perhaps you’ve heard of Jammu and Kashmir – that beautiful place! As I mentioned in my first blog “My Story,” I always wanted to do something different. My mind was curious from the start, but I couldn’t figure out what this “different” thing was.
I was always worried about what I could do that would be unique. But I didn’t just sit quietly. Whenever I got time, I’d sit at my computer and do research. One day, I read about web development on the internet. How are websites made? How does all this magic happen? It all seemed interesting to me. My curiosity forced me to write a small piece of code.
When it ran for the first time, I felt a different kind of joy in my heart. That’s when I thought – maybe this is what I’ve been looking for. But the difficulty didn’t end there. Now I had to decide what my niche would be. After a lot of thinking and understanding, I made a decision. I’m a Hafiz-e-Quran myself, I come from a Madarsa background, and I’m connected to Deen. So why not choose my niche around Deen? That’s where I got the idea to name my website “DeenWebWorks.” I built my website, and this journey began.
The idea of blogging came a little later. I felt that sharing my experiences and thoughts was also a way to express myself. Why did I start web development or blogging? Because they give wings to my creativity and curiosity and improve my skills every day, InshAllah.
My First Step to Start Web Development and Blogging
My dear friends, what was that spark that brought me to this path? It wasn’t a big moment – it was the small things. One day, I watched a tutorial on YouTube. I’ll mention the channel name here too – “Saddam Kassim.” His videos motivated me a lot and helped me learn. In one video, he made a simple webpage. I thought, “I can try this too.”
I turned on my PC, followed the steps, and wrote my first HTML tag <h1>. I saved it, opened it in the browser – and my name was on the screen! This small victory gave me a big motivation. My interest in blogging started when I saw people sharing their ideas online. I thought, “I can say something too.”
Why did I start web development or blogging? Because they both give me technical skills and take my voice to the world.
Challenges Stopped Me, but I Didn’t Give Up
The beginning wasn’t easy at all. Learning web development was a big challenge. When I learned from videos, everything seemed easy. But when I started practically, it wasn’t that simple. People in this field would say the same – “This isn’t an easy task.”
I’d write code, get errors, and spend hours figuring out where I went wrong. Once, I even thought maybe this wasn’t for me. But I didn’t stop. I kept consistency – when I made a mistake, I’d understand it, fix it, and check again. This wasn’t a matter of a day or two; it went on for months.
Blogging had its own difficulties too. I was scared while writing my first blog “My Story” – would people read it? Would they find it boring? But I thought, if I don’t try, how will I know? I learned something new from every mistake. Why did I start web development or blogging? Because every challenge made me better and the path became easier.
Where Did I Find Motivation?
I always wanted to do something different from the start and kept researching. I focused more on YouTube. When I felt I had learned enough, I bought Saddam Kassim sir’s course. That’s where I properly learned WordPress.
Then I talked to my family. First, I discussed it with my wife, Saima Jaan Mir. My wife supported me and said, “If you think you can do this, and then definitely do it. My prayers are with you.” At that time, I didn’t have any source of income. But my wife said, “Focus on your work, Allah Ta’ala will make things better.” After that, the rest of my family members supported me too.
My wife Saima Jaan Mir and my family have been my biggest strength. When I got tired, they’d say, “Anjum, don’t give up, you can do it.” Online communities – forums, YouTube comments, and X posts – also gave me new ideas. Once, a stranger messaged me saying they liked my first blog. That small thing touched my heart.
Why did I start web development or blogging? Because it gives me a purpose – to learn, to create, and to reach others.
What Did I Learn From This Journey?
This journey taught me a lot. Here’s my experience:
- Patience: Whether it’s debugging code or finding the perfect words for a blog, patience is key.
- Consistency: I work every day with consistency, and that’s the secret to my success.
- Creativity: I try something new in every project or post, adding my thoughts, which engages readers.
If you want to start too, take a small step. Everything is possible; you just need to begin.
You Can Start Too!
My dear friends, if you’re thinking of starting web development or blogging, it’s not difficult. A laptop, internet, and a little effort – that’s all you need. Try free tools like VS Code (for coding) or WordPress (for blogging). Watch tutorials on YouTube and learn at your own pace.
Why did I start web development or blogging? Because I wanted my story and skills to reach others. What could your reason be? Think about it!
