In short: DeenWebWorks is a WordPress web studio in Billawar, Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir, India) that builds websites for Islamic organisations and helps them with SEO and digital marketing. I am a Hafiz-e-Quran from a madrasa background, and I started it after noticing that many masjids and charities had outdated or weak websites. I use AI tools as helpers, while people make the final decisions.

The DeenWebWorks founder story: how it began

I come from Billawar, a small town in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. I have always loved two things: my faith and computers. I always wanted to do something different, though at first I could not tell what. Because of responsibilities I could not start straight away, but the idea never left me.

One day I read about how websites are made and wrote my first small piece of code. When it ran, I felt a joy I had not felt before. Then came the real question: what should my niche be? I am a Hafiz-e-Quran, I come from a madrasa background and I am connected to Deen, so I decided to build my work around Deen. That is how the name “DeenWebWorks” was born.

Around the same time I noticed that many Islamic groups, such as masjids and charities, had outdated or weak websites that were hard to use on a phone. That made me ask a simple question: why not build modern, clear websites for them?

I learned the basics from free YouTube tutorials, including videos by Saddam Kassim, and later bought his course to learn WordPress properly. My wife and family supported me from the start. I tell this part of the story in more detail in why I started web development and blogging.

Why Islamic web design matters

A website is your digital doorway. For an Islamic organisation it is also a way to stay connected with the community: a new resident looks for Jumu’ah times, a parent checks a madrasa’s admission steps, and a supporter confirms that a charity is genuine.

My aim is to build websites that work well and also feel right: calm colours (green and gold are a common choice), simple layouts and useful features such as prayer-time sections and donation pages. A clear website helps madrasas and charities show who they are, which builds trust with supporters. No website can guarantee funding, but without one it is much harder for people to find you and trust you.

How AI helps my work

AI web design tools help me with layout ideas, image optimisation and first drafts, and they save a lot of time. I think of them as helpers, not replacements. Decisions that matter, such as Arabic text, religious wording and donation details, are always checked by people.

It sounds easy when you read it, but it was not. It took months of practice, mistakes and fixing errors before I felt confident. What I learned is that patience and consistency matter more than shortcuts, and that success comes by Allah’s will, insha’Allah.

Roadblocks along the way

Starting DeenWebWorks was not easy. I had to learn coding, understand AI tools and, most of all, earn people’s trust. I wrote code, got errors and spent hours finding my mistake. Many nights I worked on my computer while others slept, including during Ramadan, when I would start learning and practising after Taraweeh. Some days were very hard, but every challenge taught me something.

One lesson stayed with me: Islamic websites must look good and load well on mobile, because most people browse on their phones. Today, with more than 16 projects completed, I am grateful for what Allah has made possible through hard work and patience.

The future of DeenWebWorks

My dream is to make Islamic web design accessible to every masjid, madrasa, NGO, small business and individual who needs it. I plan to add helpful features over time, such as automatic prayer-time updates and Ramadan schedules.
